Introduction of our Analytical Technologies

Analysis using the Particle Method

What is the particle method?

The particle method is a new analytical technique where the objects are modeled as collections of particles. It does not require element decomposition unlike the conventional techniques used for analysis.

This method is suitable for the analysis of phenomena that involve great changes in the shape of free surfaces or interfaces. Since its effectiveness and reliability have been confirmed, it is an analytical technique that has been drawing much attention from the automobile and industrial machinery industries.

*You need Quick Time Player to watch the video.

This is a simulation of the collapse of a water column created through the use of the particle method.

This sample shows a simulation of a water column collapsing due to gravity before crashing onto a wall. It was created with analysis software RADIOSS. It succeeds in accurately reproducing the wave breakage.

The accuracy of and time consumed by the analysis depends on the number of the particles. The one on the left in the video has 1200 particles and the one on the right has 4000 particles. The more particles a model has, the more accurate analysis of it you will get.

Suitable for the analysis of:

  • Sloshing of fuel in the tank
  • Stirring
  • Fuel Injection
  • Liquid flow through pipes
  • Splitting/behavior of droplets

What the service is about:

Analysis using the particle method visualizes the movements of and issues in the objects, which enables you to investigate flow channels.

Not many companies even take the particle method into consideration while we are able to propose the optimal solution out of numerous methods including the particle method. Please feel free to contact our personnel in charge.
